A Little Cannon History

Since 1955, Cannon Bar Works has provided bars to the forest industry in the United States Pacific Northwest and Western Canada where only the highest quality bar stands a chance of longevity. Cannon has prospered in a competitive world of mass-production bars.

Every Cannon bar is individually made by skilled craftsman. Mass-produced bars are less expensive, but do not come up to our quality standards. Quality involves the expertise and experience that only a journeyman bar man possess.

All of our Cannon bars are put through rigorous quality assurance checks prior to packaging. There are no exceptions to our quality standards. In fact, if a bar is not up to our standards, it is scrapped. There is no compromise!

The old age “You get what you pay for” certainly pertains to our Cannon bars. For good reason, our bars sell for approximately 15% to 30% more than some of the mass-produced bars. Positive feedback from professional loggers using our bars say that they will often last over three times longer than the less expensive mass-produced bars.

Our objective has alway been to provide our customers with the highest quality chainsaw bars at the fairest possible price.
